Open Framework Discussion Session

The Discussion Session on an Open Framework for Electronic Service Delivery (ESD) is a session hosted by Prescient International intended to facilitate discussion between interested parties concerned with meeting the challenges of ESD deliverables.
Bringing together representatives from Ministries, Agencies and Municipalities, the session is designed to focus on common ESD goals, issues, strategies and shared objectives, and to provide a first step towards a common framework within the province.

WREPNet

The Waterloo Region Education and Public Network (WREPNet) is a partnership of public organizations in the communities of Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge. The partnership was formed to establish a high speed self managed Wide Area Network linking the selected business sites of the partner organizations. From consultation through to implementation, Prescient was able to deliver a powerful, fibre optic Wide Area Network that services more than 200 sites, including schools, libraries and municipal facilities, connecting public partners in the region of Waterloo. Not only did Prescient deliver the solution ahead of schedule, but also provided an overall cost saving coupled with the foresight to provide a solution to meet unplanned future needs. View Brochure

Trillium Lakelands

Due to the success of the WREPNet project, Prescient provided a solution incorporating many of the same principles used previously, to design the infrastructure for a high-speed fibre optic Wide Area Network covering the region from Muskoka to Victoria county, from Lindsay to Haliburton. Prescient was once again successful in providing a solution that maximized the cost efficiency of the project.

G2P

The Government-to-Public (G2P) initiative works with municipalities to improve service quality to Ontario’s citizens and businesses by implementing client-focused, integrated, accessible, efficient and cost-effective Electronic Service Delivery solutions. A large component of this initiative is to re-engineer business processes, and to streamline integrated service delivery systems to bring them in line with the new Electronic Service Delivery practices.
